CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT STAFF
JOB TITLE: MULTIMEDIA SERVICES TECHNICIAN
CALENDAR: 2611 (12 MONTH)
SALARY: GRADE 115 (SUPPORT HOURLY)
Job Goal:
Assess, maintain, service, and/or repair school district equipment, including but not limited to copiers, duplicators, printers, computers, projectors, and document cameras
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, with preference for an associate's degree in the electronics field
Proven experience in troubleshooting and servicing a wide range of equipment
Ability to use a computer and maintain records
Ability to install, maintain, and operate electronic sound systems and provide technical support
Good organizational and human relations skills
Valid AZ driver’s license; may require use of personal vehicle
Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, rules, and regulations
Core Job Functions:
Assure all equipment is kept in a secure condition
Serve as a troubleshooter for all office equipment-related issues
Arrange for major repairs to equipment
Order supplies and evaluate equipment for purchase
Provide in-service training for teachers and other district personnel
Effectively communicate with office staff regarding the status of equipment
Set up and operate electronic sound systems
Maintain computerized files and records
Perform other duties relating to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor
