Job Summary
The Repair Technician combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. They perform drone maintenance and routine service, ensuring the aircraft conforms to design and is in safe operating condition, while working closely with engineering, flight operations and other Prime Air teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drive time‑based and condition‑based maintenance activities

Show understanding of fleet performance metrics

Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes

Manage fleet spare parts and inventory

Demonstrate a proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations

Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals

Requirements
Physical:

Carry/lift up to 50 lbs

Stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours

Be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach

Work schedule:

Work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Travel up to 25% of the time

Export control:

This position may require a deemed export control license; placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to obtain one on your behalf.

DOT:

May be subject to Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing for safety‑sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly

Experience with common business applications and tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience installing sub‑assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files

Experience in the aviation industry

Experience in business communication skills

Experience in robotics and manufacturing engineering

Compensation & Benefits
The starting pay for this position is 21.00 – 44.00 USD hourly. Additional earnings include overtime pay and performance bonuses. Beginning Day 1 of employment, Amazon offers EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, and 401(k) matching.
