Prime Air is seeking a Repair Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. This person will be respons­ible for drone maintenance and routine service, ensuring the aircraft conforms to design, and that vehicles are in safe operating condition. The candidate is expected to work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities.

Key job responsibilities

Drive time‑based and condition‑based maintenance activities

Show understanding of fleet performance metrics

Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes

Manage fleet spare parts and inventory

Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations

Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals

This role requires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.

This role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This role requires travel, up to 25% of the time.

Export Control License

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety‑sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant’s DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him/her into a position that would require them to conduct safety‑sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly

Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach

Travel up to 25% of the time

Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in installing sub‑assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files

Experience in the aviation industry

Experience in business communication skills

Experience in Robotics and Manufacturing engineering

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses.
