Position Overview
Experienced Airfield Electrician – Airfield Systems/NAVAIDs (Airfield Electrician).

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of airfield navigational aids.

Install and upgrade navigation aid systems, including wiring, control panels, and lighting fixtures.

Conduct preventive maintenance and identify potential issues before they become operational problems.

Adhere to FAA regulations concerning airfield lighting, safety procedures, and documentation.

Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Test and calibrate navigational aids using specialized equipment.

Coordinate with airport operations, air traffic control, and construction crews to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications

5+ years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years on airfield systems or navigational aids.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Willingness and ability to travel to and stay at project sites for 2–8 month assignments across the U.S.

Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices.

Knowledge of FAA regulations, airfield lighting, precision approach path indicators (PAPI), VHF omni‑directional range (VOR), and other navigation aids.

Preferred OSHA Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) certification.

Military veteran applicants are a plus.

Competitive hourly wage ($28.00+ per hour) plus per diem.
