The result of this combination gives us our motto: There is only success!Description of Position:Provides direct supervision of Direct Support Professionals. Works with the community, ensuring that the facility is a positive choice for Individuals Supported in the area. Coordinates all staff to promote outstanding facility operations in alignment with goals, budget guidelines, and the needs of Individuals Supported. Assumes responsibilities of the Administrator in their absence, following facility guidelines. Supervises operations to conform to regulatory guidelines. Provides direct personal care, behavioral support, and supervision to Individuals Supported at the facility. The Direct Support Professional Lead promotes the well-being and satisfaction of Individuals Supported through support with activities of daily living and implementation of individualized behavioral support plans.What the Role Entails: Supervise all Direct Support Professionals to ensure the facility is operating according to standards and in compliance with regulatory guidelines.Coordinate, schedule, and conduct monthly Individual Supported review meetings to identify, monitor, and intervene for Individuals Supported at risk for changes in placement.Work within the community to support Individuals Supported in need of additional services or resources.Coordinate new Individual Supported participation and transition planning.Assume full responsibility for all regulatory guidelines, forms, and documentation for Individuals Supported and employees, and ensure that administrative operations are up to date and complete at all times. Organize Individual Supported and family council meetings as well as family conferences.Prepare all licensing requests for the Administrators review and signature.Support other DSP staff in the daily operations of the facility, including, but not limited to, cooking, cleaning, activities, and medication administrationImplement individualized behavioral support plans (IBSPs) as written, and ensure DirectSupport Professionals on shift are following behavioral protocols correctly.Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including behavioral data collection, incident reports, and shift notes.Observe and supervise Individuals Supported and be on call when the Administrator is not available.Other duties as assigned.What We Require:One (1) year prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.Core Qualities: A compassionate demeanor, exceptional patience, and the ability to build professional rapport.Team-Oriented Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a diverse team.Reliable Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to note behavioral progress via our electronic records systemCommitment to Standards: A professional attitude and appearance are consistently expected.Dependability: Demonstrates a high level of reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and the ability to follow complex behavioral plans without deviation. Must be an "anchor" for the team and the individuals served, ensuring continuity of care. And must meet one of the following:Become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within six (6) months of initial employment; ORBe a Licensed Psychiatric Technician; ORBe a Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (QBMP).Mandatory Requirements:Candidates must have the physical stamina and agility to perform safety interventions, which may include standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and implementing physical de-escalation techniques as trained in CPI to ensure a safe environment.High School Diploma, or equivalent, 21 years of age, and legally eligible to work in the U.S.Possession of (or immediate willingness to obtain): DSP 1 & 2 Certification, RBT Certification (preferred), Adult CPR/First Aid Certification, and CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification.Ability to successfully obtain a fingerprint clearance from Community Care Licensing.Current health screening and TB test (or ability to obtain promptly).Valid State IDReports Directly To: Facility Administrator
