Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy (FPCVPAA), a public charter school located in the heart of Mobile, AL provides a seven-year comprehensive academic and conservatory arts program to students in grades 6-12. Established in 2023, FPC VPAA is one of the premier arts schools in Alabama, where aspiring young artists have the opportunity to refine their skills and flourish in one of 16 pre-professional arts conservatories.

Job Description:
The School Custodian (full-time or part-time) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and overall functionality of school facilities. The job duties include:
Performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies
Emptying and cleaning trash and recycling bins
Performing minor repairs and maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and replacing paper towel dispensers
Reporting major maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
Ensuring that all doors and windows are locked and secured at the end of each school day
Setting up facilities for school events and meetings
Responding to emergency situations, such as spills or facility damage
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in custodial or related fields
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and standing for extended periods of time
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends, as needed
