Job Summary
This position will work with the unit to help develop & execute communication strategies and tactics. Primary responsibilities are in supporting internal and external communications as an effort to promote a positive public image and tell the unit's story by producing deliverables in a variety of formats.

Responsibilities
Graduate School Webpage Development

Design, create, and optimize TGS web pages.

Design and utilize web forms, features, and elements.

Create and maintain web page navigation.

Maintain the back‑end organization of web pages.

Perform basic coding and back‑end architecture of web pages.

Draft and edit basic web content.

Optimize photos for web publication.

Utilize approved AU web auxiliary pages and systems (e.g., Campus Insider).

Ensure all new digital content meets institutional accessibility standards.

Write, edit, and regularly update web copy for clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with TGS and AU messaging.

Graduate School Webpage Maintenance

Maintain and update TGS web pages’ information on internet and intranet.

Serve as a resource for graduate program content and liaison with individual programs and TGS.

Monitor and align content across programs, units, colleges, and TGS pages.

Perform routine audit of web pages and content.

Evaluate and maintain existing content (update, correct, move, remove) to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Develop and add new content/pages as needed.

Correspond and collaborate for updates.

Work with the TGS office to maintain and update all TGS announcements, events, and information across digital spaces and affiliated platforms.

Work with the TGS Admissions team to keep admissions content up to date and accurate.

Provide support to the admissions team as needed.

On‑Campus Collaborations

Work with departmental representatives to define content goals, organization, and workflow for authoring, approving, and publishing content.

Collect and actively work to accomplish goals.

Develop working groups to increase stakeholder input and use the website to promote a sense of community.

Collaborate with the Division of Communications and Marketing (DCM) to ensure content and design meet university standards and mission.

Work with DCM and Jagwire to increase TGS exposure by appropriate tagging.

Develop and share graduate‑relevant content with other departments and units for additional promotion through their digital and social media channels.

Web Analytics & Data Analysis for Increased User Experience

Research and track market trends to increase competitiveness and maximize the use of TGS internet webpages as a recruitment tool.

Track, analyze, and assess data and adapt/create tools to enhance user experience and engagement.

Support academic programs and the educational mission by identifying expected outcomes and assessing achievements.

Evaluate and report on the visibility and impact of online content (analytics, quantitative and qualitative assessment).

Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategy and use web analysis to expand content relevant to website visitors.

Use assessment results to inform and drive changes in web content or organization to increase traffic and improve navigation.

Identify and increase the use of items that attract greater attention.

Development of Online Content for TGS and Support Grad Programs

Lead planning and coordination of TGS social media.

Ensure all content meets institutional accessibility standards.

Take pictures, write content, and develop videos.

Create flyers, announcements, and forms for web publication.

Write and maintain SOPs for web processes/practices, written guidelines, and keep accurate documentation and files.

Write TGS news stories and features for Jagwire and assist with publication coordination.

Serve as POC for all media content in all TGS‑wide events.

Provide support as needed to programs for special events and requests.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two years combined professional experience in web publishing, web design, or web development or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Experience in photography and photographic manipulation.

Previous higher education experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Skills : Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Abilities : Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite interruptions, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M‑F (Work outside of the standard business hours may be required)

Pay Band: B9

Salary: $48,800–$61,000 annually (commensurate with qualifications within the established range)

Recruitment Period: Until Filled

Benefits may include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System or Optional Retirement Plan, earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.

Full‑time employees employed for more than 6 months may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program.

Conditions of Employment

Required successful background check prior to starting.

Credit check may be required for Positions of Trust and/or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.

Motor vehicle reports required for positions that require driving an Augusta University vehicle.

Faculty hires must provide proof of completed academic degree(s) and post‑secondary coursework transcripts; foreign‑trained candidates require credential evaluation.
