General Function

A central scheduler in the Practice will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, and resource management to support the overall functioning of the Practice.
Major Duties & Responsibilities

Interact with patients to schedule appointments, provide information about procedures, and answer questions related to scheduling.
Maintain and update the schedules, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on appointments, meetings, and other commitments.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient appointments, cancellations, and reschedules.
Communicate effectively with team within the practice to ensure smooth coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Verify patient information, insurance details, and appointment requirements to facilitate a seamless check-in process.
Ensure compliance with Practice policies, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and other relevant guidelines related to scheduling and patient information.
Manage last minute changes, cancellations, and urgent appointment requests while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Proficiently use scheduling software and electronic health records systems to streamline the scheduling process and maintain accurate records.
Strive to enhance the patient's experience by minimizing wait times, providing clear instructions, and addressing scheduling-related concerns promptly.
Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of related work experience
Strong customer service skills
Organization skills and ability to multitask
Effective communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with in-store technology, such as point of sale, patient record systems and other software applications
Proven ability to identify issues and solve problems
Strong interpersonal skills
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
