SkillBridge Paramedic

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a SkillBridge Paramedic to join our Emergency Services team within our Healthcare & Medical Services system in Albuquerque, NM. This unique opportunity is designed for active-duty military service members transitioning to civilian careers through the DoD SkillBridge program, offering hands-on field experience as a paramedic while working alongside a respected, mission-driven non-profit healthcare organization. As a SkillBridge Paramedic, you will provide advanced pre-hospital emergency care to patients in the community, responding to 911 calls and interfacility transports as part of a highly skilled emergency medical team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, initiate appropriate treatment based on established protocols, and collaborate closely with emergency department staff, physicians, and nurses to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care. Responsibilities include delivering both basic and advanced life support interventions, including cardiac monitoring, airway management, medication administration under medical direction, hemorrhage control, and stabilization of medical and trauma patients in diverse and often high-stress environments. You will operate and maintain EMS equipment and vehicles, communicate effectively with dispatch and medical control, and complete accurate and thorough electronic patient care reports that reflect the care provided and the patient’s condition.
