Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a SkillBridge Paramedic to join our Emergency Services team in our {JOB-CITY, {JOB-STATE service area as you transition from military service to a civilian healthcare career. In this SkillBridge opportunity, you will apply your advanced pre-hospital medical training in a structured, mentored environment while learning Presbyterian’s patient-centered approach to Emergency Medical Services. Working primarily in the field as part of a 911 response or interfacility transport team, you will provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care and transport to patients of all ages in alignment with our values of respect, integrity, accountability, and safety. Under the supervision of experienced Paramedics, EMS leadership, and medical direction, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, deliver basic and advanced life support interventions, and assist in stabilizing and transporting patients to appropriate Presbyterian facilities or other destinations. You will be responsible for obtaining and interpreting vital signs, performing airway management, administering medications in accordance with protocols, applying cardiac monitoring and defibrillation equipment, managing trauma and medical emergencies, and documenting care in electronic patient care reports with accuracy and timeliness. You will collaborate closely with dispatch, fire, law enforcement, and hospital emergency department staff to ensure safe, coordinated care from scene to hospital. This role offers a hands-on learning environment focused on professional development and a smooth transition from a military medic or corpsman role into the civilian paramedic setting.
