Paramedic

As a Paramedic with Presbyterian Healthcare Services, you will provide high-quality, compassionate pre-hospital emergency medical care and transport to a diverse patient population within the community. Working in the Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will respond to 911 calls and interfacility transports, performing advanced life support interventions, stabilizing patients, and safely transporting them to appropriate medical facilities. You will conduct thorough patient assessments, obtain medical histories, interpret vital signs and ECGs, manage airways, administer medications within established protocols, and perform critical procedures in accordance with state regulations and Presbyterian guidelines. Operating primarily in the field, you will work closely with EMT partners, fellow paramedics, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care from the scene to the emergency department. You will be responsible for maintaining scene safety, triaging multiple patients when necessary, communicating effectively with dispatch and hospital staff, and documenting all care accurately in electronic patient care reports. Your role requires calm, sound clinical judgment under pressure, strong communication skills with patients and families, and a commitment to patient dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
