Host
Èlephante is hiring hosts to join our team at our iconic Santa Monica rooftop restaurant. Èlephante is known for its high‑energy atmosphere, coastal Italian cuisine, and one of the busiest dining rooms on the Westside. Our host team plays a critical role in setting the tone for the guest experience from the moment guests arrive.
We are looking for hosts who are polished, organized, and hospitality‑driven, and who can confidently manage guest flow in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
What We’re Looking For
Previous host, reservations, or guest services experience preferred
Experience in high‑volume restaurants strongly preferred
Strong communication and guest service skills
Professional and welcoming demeanor
Ability to stay organized and composed during busy services
Strong multitasking and problem‑solving abilities
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression
Manage the reservation book and waitlist using OpenTable
Seat guests efficiently while maintaining proper table pacing
Communicate with management and service teams to ensure smooth dining room flow
Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with reservation questions
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the host stand and entrance area
Assist with guest inquiries and special requests
