Roles and Responsibilities The host is essentially the face of the restaurant. The customer service and energy the hosts show the moment the guests walk through the doors can shape their entire experience here at Tangled Roots.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE
Greeting the guests the moment they enter the doors
Answering phone calls or in-person reservations
Handling general phone calls and transfers
Answering guests’ questions pertaining to the restaurant and the menu
Assisting wait staff as needed
Providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas
Ensuring excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience
Addressing any complaints to help resolve them
Obtaining knowledge of the beer, wine, and food menu
Assisting other individuals as needed
Maintaining cleanliness of the restrooms and keeping them stocked
Tangled Roots participates in E-Verify and will conduct employment eligibility verification checks on new hires after a job offer is accepted, in accordance with Federal Law.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Serve Safe Certificate within 2 weeks of employment.

Solid organizational and people skills to ensure guests have a positive dining experience from arrival to departure
Critical thinking skills
Teamwork and leadership qualities
Effective communication skills
