Duties Performed In The Usual Course Of The Job
The Interior Design Lecturer‑Pool faculty is a term position hired to teach between one and four courses per semester as needed by the program. Course requirements are teaching in person at the main campus in Huntsville. Lecturer‑Pool faculty hiring is based on student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. The selected applicant(s) will teach one or two sections of INDS 2387: Architectural Graphics for Interiors. The course focuses on the development of two‑dimensional graphic representations of architectural design. Practical application is achieved through the development of drafting skills and representational sketching. It meets twice a week for 2 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab. Section 01/02 meets Tuesday/Thursday from 8:00-10:45 am, and section 03/04 meets Tuesday/Thursday from 2:00-4:45 pm.

Educational Requirements
The ideal candidate would possess a Master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field. However, substantial and notable professional experience and licensure will be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.

Experience Required
A minimum of three years of full‑time professional design experience is required.

Other Requirements
NCIDQ or NCARB certification is preferred. State licensing is preferred.
