Manager of Business Development - Air Force and Army About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Manager of Business Development to focus on expanding our engagement with the U.S. Air Force and Army. This role is perfect for an individual with deep knowledge of defense sectors, including government procurement processes, who will lead the development of new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and government stakeholders to drive growth in our defense-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities with the U.S. Air Force and Army, focusing on defense technologies and solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the U.S. military, including decision-makers and procurement officers.
Develop and implement business development strategies that align with organizational goals and government priorities.
Collaborate with internal teams, including technical and product management, to create tailored solutions for defense clients.
Prepare and present proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with government regulations and guidelines.
Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging defense needs to inform business strategy.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members in business development and proposal writing.
Requirements 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on defense and government sectors.
Proven track record of successfully securing contracts with the U.S. Air Force, Army, or other government agencies.
Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and the defense technology landscape.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior military personnel and decision-makers.
Experience in developing proposals and responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) for defense contracts.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with defense contractors or in military-focused roles.
Established network within the U.S. Air Force or Army.
Familiarity with emerging defense technologies, including AI, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems.
Active security clearance is a plus.
