
Business Development Coordinator

e2 engineers is seeking a full-time Business Development Coordinator to support the continued growth of our Concord office. This role focuses on architect outreach, relationship building, and strategic coordination under the guidance of our Principals and Communications Manager.
Responsibilities
Schedule meetings, introductions, and lunch-and-learns with Massachusetts architecture firms.
Conduct outreach to new and existing architect contacts.
Represent e2 engineers at industry and networking events throughout Massachusetts. This includes some evening events.
Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective architecture partners.
Coordinate closely with the Principals and Communications Manager to support targeted business development initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
The right candidate is personable, organized, proactive, and comfortable engaging with architects and industry professionals. Prior experience in business development, A/E/C industries, or client-facing roles is required.
Client Engagement: Practice client empathy – when they shine, we shine. Build trust,
represent the firm with professionalism and credibility, and effectively manage client
expectations.
Creative Thinking: Use engineering experience, intuition, and original concepts to develop
innovative, code-compliant solutions to client design challenges.
Critical Thinking: Apply logic, engineering judgement, and systematic approaches to reach
well-reasoned conclusions efficiently and confidently.
Leadership: Lead by example with integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Guide
project direction with clarity and confidence from schematic design through construction.
Adaptability: Handle workload fluctuations, shifting deadlines, and scope changes with
composure. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring key milestones are
achieved.
Collaboration: Work effectively in group settings. Balance independent work with
constructive contributions to the team.
Communication: Be a prompt and transparent communicator. Choose the most effective
mode of communication for each situation. Translate technical concepts for diverse
audiences.
Mentorship: Be someone that the junior staff can rely on and learn from. Set clear
expectations, assign well defined tasks, and foster a culture of support, knowledge sharing,
and accountability.
Quality Assurance: Support peer QA/QC by providing constructive feedback, redline
markups, and ensuring compliance with the firm’s standards.
Management: Stay organized, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects at various
stages of design, consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
