About Us
We are partnering with an established manufacturing company seeking a Senior Accountant with strong NetSuite experience and deep knowledge of manufacturing and inventory accounting processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, process-focused accountant who thrives in a hands-on environment and can support full-cycle accounting while improving inventory and manufacturing financial controls.

Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will own full-cycle accounting responsibilities and act as the subject-matter finance contact for NetSuite and manufacturing/inventory processes. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with hands-on systems experience—particularly NetSuite—and understands how inventory flows, costing methods, and manufacturing transactions impact financials. Experience with cost or inventory accounting is a strong plus.

Lead month-end and year-end close activities for assigned entities: journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting
Maintain and reconcile inventory, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and materials accounts; ensure accurate valuation and controls
Support and improve costing processes (standard costing, actual costing, FIFO/LIFO where applicable) and investigate cost variances and scrap/rework impacts
Manage NetSuite configuration and transactional integrity related to inventory and manufacturing modules (items, assemblies, BOMs, work orders, production runs) — partner with IT/ERP teams and external consultants as needed
Ensure accurate posting of manufacturing transactions to the general ledger (material issues, labor burden, overhead allocation, purchase receipts, transfers)
Prepare and analyze inventory-related journal entries: inventory adjustments, obsolescence reserves, cycle count adjustments, and physical inventory reconciliations
Support order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes as they interface with inventory and manufacturing flows
Generate and present timely management reports and KPIs related to inventory turnover, gross margin, production cost trends, and WIP aging
Implement and maintain internal controls, SOX-compliant processes (if applicable), and documentation for accounting and inventory procedures
Provide guidance and training to operations and warehouse teams on accounting-related processes and the correct use of NetSuite functionality
Participate in cross-functional projects (ERP upgrades, process improvement, cost reduction initiatives, new product introductions) from a finance perspective
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred but not required
4+ years progressive full-cycle accounting experience; experience in manufacturing settings strongly preferred
Strong practical experience with NetSuite, including troubleshooting and reconciliations
Solid understanding of inventory and manufacturing processes: BOMs, work orders, WIP, production routing, cost flows, and inventory valuation methods
Hands-on experience with inventory reconciliations, cost variance analysis, and journal entries related to manufacturing transactions
Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite reporting tools and saved searches; familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools a plus
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate operational issues into accounting impacts
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with operations, supply chain, procurement, and IT teams

Experience with manufacturing environments such as discrete, make-to-order, or make-to-stock operations
Prior experience implementing or upgrading ERP modules (NetSuite manufacturing/inventory modules)
Fast-paced manufacturing environment with close interaction between finance and operations
Collaborative team that values process improvement, accuracy, and practical problem solving
