Position Overview
The Gould School of Law (USC Gould) is seeking a Program Administrator for the Center for Sports, Entertainment, Media and Technology Law (SEMT Center). The role reports directly to the Executive Director of the SEMT Center and involves managing programs, events, and relationships that support the Center’s mission to be a leading legal home for sports, entertainment, media, and technology education.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education: Master's degree.

Preferred Experience: 3 years.

Preferred Field of Expertise: General business or project management, preferably in an environment requiring cross‑departmental communication. Preference for experience in entertainment and/or sports.

Job Accountabilities

Manage events and initiatives of the SEMT Center, including seminars, symposia, panels, board meetings, student networking opportunities, and related activities.

Assist the Executive Director in creating, overseeing, and maintaining new programs and activities within the Center’s mandate.

Manage student fellows and researchers associated with the Center.

Act as a primary communicator with students, alumni, and industry professionals.

Collaborate and consult with other Gould and university departments as needed.

Help the Executive Director and Gould’s Development team establish and maintain relationships with potential donors.

Produce status reports, presentations, memos, budgets, and other work products for the Center.

Perform routine administrative work, such as maintaining calendars, preparing expense reports, answering routine questions, and managing Center office operations.

Assist the Executive Director with preparing materials for classes he teaches and events where he makes presentations.

Assist with final exam administration and proctoring at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters and at commencement each year.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Advanced technical skills, especially in the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, Google products, and other common applications.

Interest in and experience with the business of entertainment and/or sports.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,006.08 – $100,368.48.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree; combined experience and education as a substitute for minimum education.
