American Heritage Schools of Palm Beach County is currently accepting applications for Office Assistant.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Office Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide friendly and exceptional customer service by greeting guests entering the Office and answering calls, voicemails and emails in a timely manner. Assist parents with a variety of student/teacher related questions.
Create, share, maintain, and update spreadsheets/documents to assist in communications between office staff and administration.
Keep all paperwork, forms & handouts for parents up-to-date and organized. Maintain and update various annual documents.
Responsible for maintaining office supplies and submitting supply orders for office staff.
Responsible for maintaining the aesthetics and appearance of the office space.
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist all Office staff and administration with projects, filing and any other requested assistance as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelors Degree preferred)
Experience in a high volume office setting
Administrative assistant experience preferred but not required
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to multitask
Highly organized
Attention to detail and accuracy
Technologically savvy and ability to adapt to new software quickly
Self-motivated
Completes tasks independently
Professional in all situations
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Upper School Offices - Palm Beach Campus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extended periods of time sitting and/or standing
Ability to bend, reach, and stoop
Long periods of time on the computer
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
