Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, United States
The Texas A&M Institute for Neuroscience (TAMIN) is an interdisciplinary institute established in 2009 through a collaboration between Texas A&M University and the Texas A&M University Health Science Center. TAMIN brings together a faculty‐driven community of neuroscientists spanning 19 academic departments across eight colleges and schools, supporting research interests that range from basic and translational to clinical neuroscience. The Institute advances interdisciplinary collaboration, research, and scholarship and contributes to nationally recognized neuroscience research and training programs at Texas A&M University. TAMIN does not function as a traditional academic department but instead provides an organizational structure that supports cross unit collaboration and co‐mentorship while faculty remain embedded in their home units. The Institute supports neuroscience education and training through its Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program, institute‐level seminars and symposia, and undergraduate neuroscience research and directed studies courses.
