What You Do
Manage a caseload of General Liability Claims (premises and construction defect) in multiple states.
Manage new loss assignments, reassignments and proper, timely reserve setting.
Perform coverage analysis, determine responsibilities to defend and/or indemnify, and assess choice of law.
Identify issues that require investigation and resolution, selecting appropriate methods, with focus on risk transfer and optimal outcomes.
Draft complex coverage position letters, including reservations of rights, DISCLAIMERS, and responses to rebuttal letters.
Develop legal strategy with counsel and manage General Liability litigation consistent with litigation guidelines, coordinating both Coverage Counsel and Defense Counsel.
Identify appropriate cases for trial, producing pre‑trial reports and overseeing trial activities.
Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g., generative AI).
Report to a Claim Manager.
What You Bring
5+ years of litigated General Liability claim handling experience with progressive responsibilities and exposure to multiple jurisdictions.
Technical background preferred, with emphasis on coverage issue identification and policy interpretation.
In‑depth knowledge of liability policy language and coverage interpretation.
Experience working in a regulated environment and ability to ensure compliance with company procedures.
College degree.
Florida Adjusting license required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Job Compensation: $100,000 – $144,600 base salary, exclusive of company benefits. Eligible for an annual incentive program. Base salary will be determined based on geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
