Summary
Sets up and operates CNC machines to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts such as castings, forgings, and bar stock by performing the following duties within all machining cells in all value streams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Comply with all safety policies and procedures while actively participating to create a Zero Harm culture at work and at home.

Actively participate in continuous improvement to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Prioritize daily work to ensure customer delivery is met.

Complete ERP transactions and load CNC programs using a computer.

Load material including bronze, stainless steel, and plastics up to 7” diameter.

Set up CNC machine including selecting jaws, setting work, changing tools, touching‑off tools, inspecting and changing inserts, loading correct program, and adjusting tool offsets.

Maintain working knowledge of G & M codes.

Verify proper machine operation including speeds & feeds, tool wear, and surface finish.

Review manufacturing drawings and verify product specification using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM.

Verify measuring equipment calibration daily.

Properly complete required paperwork.

Participate in daily preventive maintenance and cleaning schedule.

Ability to multi‑task and run multiple machines simultaneously.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Ability to perform arithmetic calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Basic computer skills.

Education And/Or Experience
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with experience in industrial manufacturing.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range
$28.60 – $40.80 per hour

Bonus Eligible
This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
