The Opportunity
Pointwest is currently seeking a high-caliber Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Lead to join a strategic initiative for one of the world’s largest and most recognized quick-service restaurant (QSR) brands. This is not a standard \"click-and-test\" role. You will be a key player in a massive digital transformation, leading the quality validation for a multi-year global rollout of the PAR Brink POS ecosystem. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, you will work at the intersection of high-volume e-commerce and physical store operations, ensuring that technology enhances the experience for millions of customers and thousands of team members.
Core Responsibilities
POS Transformation Leadership: Drive the testing strategy for the integration and deployment of PAR Brink POS and associated back-of-office systems
Omni-channel Validation: Ensure seamless synchronization between mobile/web ordering platforms, third-party delivery aggregators, and in-store kitchen display systems (KDS)
Hardware Lab Oversight: Manage \"Model Store\" testing environments, validating physical hardware configurations (terminals, printers, payment devices) alongside software builds
Automation & Efficiency: Transition manual testing processes into robust automated frameworks to support a continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment
Defect Governance: Lead triage meetings with developers and business stakeholders to prioritize fixes based on operational impact and \"dinner rush\" stability
Strategic Reporting: Provide Pointwest and client leadership with clear, data-driven insights into release readiness and system health
Technical Requirements
Experience: 7+ years in Software QA, with at least 3 years in a Lead role
PAR Expertise: Direct, hands‑on experience with PAR (Brink or PixelPoint) systems is a mandatory requirement for this role
Industry Knowledge: Strong background in the Restaurant/Hospitality sector, specifically understanding kitchen workflows and transaction processing

Proficiency in SQL for backend data verification
Experience with API Testing (Postman, SoapUI) and cloud-based environments (GCP preferred)
Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience
Professional Attributes
Operational Mindset: You understand that in the pizza/QSR world, system uptime is critical to store profitability
Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team of testers, often across multiple time zones or in hybrid environments
Communication: Ability to translate technical bugs into \"business impact\" for non-technical stakeholders
Why Pointwest?
Work on a high-visibility project that is a cornerstone of our client’s global strategy
Engage with a collaborative team that values innovation and \"Shift Left\" testing methodologies
Enjoy a competitive compensation structure with the stability of a long-term engagement
