Job Description

Triage all patients upon arrival to determine appropriate location of treatment (Emergency room versus urgent care).

Provide general patient care, including therapeutic and diagnostic intervention.

Deliver age‑specific and education‑specific education to all patients.

Maintain a clean work environment, performing duties such as trash removal, floor mopping, and counter cleaning.

Follow all company policies and HIPAA procedures.

Encourage a friendly and respectful work environment.

Provide a customer‑focused, friendly, reassuring environment that encourages patient participation in health‑care decisions.

Accurately interpret physician’s instructions and assist the physician with patient treatment.

Administer medications, collect specimens, conduct laboratory tests, and operate laboratory equipment.

Execute physician orders, including administration of medications, treatments, and IVs according to policy and procedure.

Observe and document patient responses to medications.

Attend mandatory skills training yearly and maintain all required professional certifications and licenses.

Participate in annual education and staff meetings, and complete all required reports and documentation on time.

Follow infection control and OSHA safety guidelines.

Manage physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, and supporting patients.

Operate in a healthcare setting with exposure to environmental conditions such as radiation, noise, infectious diseases, bloodborne diseases, chemicals, and moderate noise from equipment.

Schedule based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on‑call).

Qualifications

LVN, EMT‑P certification or equivalent diploma.

Current BLS & ACLS certification (or required within 60 days of hire).

Current PALS/ENPC certification (or required within 60 days of hire).

High school diploma or GED.

Strong time‑management, technical, and diagnostic procedure skills.

Excellent communication and patient‑interaction abilities.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and HIPAA regulations.

Basic math skills and the ability to apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions.

Completion of company‑provided laboratory testing education and competency.

Dependability, quality focus, and a commitment to continuous learning.
