Job Description
Preference given to AEMTs, Paramedics and LVNs.
Triage all patients upon arrival to determine their location of treatment. (Emergency room versus urgent care)
Provide general patient care. This includes therapeutic and diagnostic intervention.
Provide age and education‑specific education to all patients.
Assure a clean work environment. This may include duties often reserved for housekeeping services, such as emptying trash, mopping floors, and cleaning counters.
Follow all company policies.
Follow all HIPAA policies and procedures.
Encourage a work environment that is friendly and respectful.
Provide patients and their families with a customer‑focused, friendly, reassuring, and open environment that encourages patient participation in health care decisions.
Accurately interpret a physician’s instructions.
Assist the physician on duty with the treatment of patients. Communicate with the physician regarding the patient's needs and client feedback, and the operations coordinator's observation.
Administer medications.
Collect specimens and conduct laboratory tests.
Review and uphold lab policies and procedures.
Collaborate with health team members to ensure the patient's well‑being as evidenced by staff/client feedback. Support the efforts of team members.
Execute physician orders, including administration of medications, treatments, and IVs according to policy and procedure.
Observe and document the patient's response to pertinent medications.
Prepare specimens and operate lab equipment.
100% attendance at mandatory skills training yearly.
Maintain all required professional certifications and licenses. Participate in any and all certifications of the facility.
Maintain CEU’s.
Complete yearly assigned education on time.
Attend a minimum of four staff meetings and read and sign all minutes of meetings not attended.
Patient education and discharge instructions.
Follow infection control and OSHA safety guidelines.
Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on‑call).
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear, with specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting and supporting patients. This job operates in a healthcare setting; the employee must be willing to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to toxic or caustic materials, radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, bloodborne diseases, chemicals, odors, gases, and dust. Moderate noise from phones, computers, printers, and medical equipment is expected.

Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
MA, CNA, CMA, LVN, NCT, EMT-P, EMT-B certification or diploma.
Current BLS & ACLS certification.
Completion of company provided laboratory testing education and competency.
