Works under the direction of the Sr. Accounting Manager of Housing and Community Development Division and is responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting (internal and external) for the division.
Responsibilities
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
May assist internal auditors with various audits.
Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with management, staff, and external auditors. Requires the ability to use general office equipment, including personal computers, calculators, and telephones.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office environment.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a closely related field with five (5) years of professional accounting experience to include public finance, grant accounting, and HUD reporting regulations with three (3) of the five (5) years in a supervisory capacity; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.
Working experience in Word and Excel software applications is required.
Working experience with Oracle or any automated accounting system preferred.
