**Job Title: Skilled Laborer**
**Job Description**
The Skilled Laborer supports production and assembly operations by assembling piping and related products, moving materials throughout the facility, and assisting wherever needed to meet production goals. This hands-on role requires regular use of hand and power tools, accurate measurement using a tape measure, and the ability to follow blueprints or work instructions with a strong focus on quality and safety.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble piping and related products using hand and power tools according to blueprints and work instructions.
+ Read and interpret tape measures, basic blueprints, and work instructions to complete tasks accurately.
+ Handle, move, and stage materials throughout the facility to support production and assembly operations.
+ Operate or assist with operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment, following proper safety procedures.
+ Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
+ Support general labor tasks in the production area, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing workstations.
+ Multitask and shift between duties as production priorities change throughout the day.
+ Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
+ Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
+ Demonstrate reliability by maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality.
**Essential Skills**
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, industrial, construction, carpentry, or warehouse environment preferred.
+ Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
+ Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
+ Ability to understand and follow basic blueprints or written work instructions.
+ Forklift experience or willingness to complete forklift training.
+ Ability to multitask and shift between different duties as needed.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
+ Dependable work habits with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
+ Comfort working in a production or warehouse environment performing physical tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Background in general labor, production, or material handling.
+ Experience in construction or carpentry environments using hand and power tools.
+ Experience working as a material handler or in a warehouse setting.
+ Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train in different areas of production.
+ Ability to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a production and assembly facility that focuses on piping and related products. **Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, AL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
