**Job Title: General Laborer**
**Job Description**
This role supports a truss manufacturing plant by performing a wide range of general labor and production tasks, including material handling, sorting, stacking, and basic assembly. You will work with hand tools and power tools, use a tape measure accurately, and assist with loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials throughout the facility. The position requires reliability, strong attendance, and the ability to work safely and professionally in a fast-paced production environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Handle materials throughout the production area, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving products and components.
+ Perform general manual labor tasks such as sorting, stacking, and organizing materials and finished products.
+ Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for basic assembly and production-related tasks.
+ Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to support production specifications and quality standards.
+ Support a variety of production-related functions that do not require machine operation or specialty skills.
+ Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.
+ Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment.
+ Demonstrate punctuality, consistent attendance, and professionalism on the job.
+ Collaborate with team members and assist with additional manual labor tasks as needed across the manufacturing floor.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with material handling in a production or manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools in daily work.
+ Proficiency in using a tape measure accurately for measuring materials.
+ Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
+ Strong punctuality and reliable attendance, with a commitment to meeting schedule expectations.
+ Professionalism and a self-starting attitude with strong initiative.
+ Ability to perform general production and general labor tasks without operating machinery.
+ High school diploma or equivalent, with 0-2 years of experience in a similar field or related area.
+ Willingness to participate in random drug screenings as required.

+ Experience in general production, assembly, or general labor roles in a manufacturing setting.
+ Background in sorting, stacking, and organizing materials in a production environment.
+ Ability to support various manual labor tasks outside of a warehouse setting on the manufacturing floor.

Biweekly pay is provided. The work is physically active and performed on the manufacturing floor, focusing on manual labor and production support rather than machine operation. Safety is a priority, and personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and ear plugs is required. The dress code centers on practical, safety-appropriate attire suitable for a production setting. Attendance expectations are clearly defined, with a structured point system for tardiness and absences, and random drug screens are conducted to maintain a safe workplace.
