Job Description
R10086797 CDL Driver (Open) – Location: Tampa, FL – East – Retail shop.
As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company‑provided CDL B vehicle. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently connecting with Airgas customers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers.
Support deliveries in a timely manner.
Safely secure and unsecure cylinders.
Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; handle the physically active nature of the position.
Frequent entry and exit of the vehicle.

Required Qualifications
Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days) and airbrake endorsements.
Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
No more than two traffic convictions or at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years (specific criteria apply).
No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last seven years.
Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
Must be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material handling equipment.
One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years, or proof of completion of trucking school within the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift experience.
