Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)
Location: Albany, NY – Karner Rd – Filling industrial
Shift: Monday – Friday, day shift.
Responsibilities
Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders, as well as hard goods, along designated routes.
Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction.
Record all transactions accurately and obtain necessary customer signatures.
Handle the loading and unloading of all materials.
Conduct thorough pre‑and post‑trip vehicle inspections, noting any issues to ensure full safety compliance and maintain the vehicle’s condition.
Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a representative of the company during all deliveries.
Required Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Valid Class B or better Commercial Driver’s License.
Hazmat endorsement.
Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers.
Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs. and occasionally lift 76 to > 100 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
Ability to maintain a drug‑free workplace.
Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Forklift experience.
Touch freight delivery experience.
