Overview
Maintenance Repairman 2 (seasonal) is responsible for skilled journey-level work across building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and masonry trades, including construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment at Ricketts Glen State Park. The role includes handling a diverse range of hand and power tools and coordinating with supervisors, vendors, and project teams.
Responsibilities
Perform skilled journey-level maintenance, repair, and construction tasks across multiple trades (building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, masonry).
Carefully handle and upkeep tools, machinery, equipment, and materials to complete assigned tasks.
Contact vendors, obtain price quotations, and estimate costs, hours, and resources required for projects; compile and submit estimates for supervisor review.
Lead a team of semi-skilled laborers, laborers, and other personnel during project execution.
Work Schedule and Details
Full-time, seasonal employment from March through November. This position does not include medical benefits.
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 30-minute lunch; weekend and holiday work is required from Memorial Day through Labor Day with two consecutive days off mid-week during this period.
Telework is not available for this position.

Qualifications
Experience and Training
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance involving at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Special Requirements
Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
