Partnership Coordinator.

USDA Forest Service, Alamogordo, NM, United States


Responsibilities

Supports the unit in recruiting, managing, and implementing partnership programs, including training and site visits.

Works with local communities, state and federal agencies, and other organizations to develop collaborative strategies and integrate existing programs where practical.

Assists forests in developing and implementing Partnership Programs that are responsive to goals, needs, and demands of all parties.

Advises and recommends innovative approaches to avoid or resolve problems and reduce conflicts.

Serves as liaison to leadership teams, managers, and supervisors within the Forest Service on collaborative efforts and matters related to partnerships and volunteerism.

Performs supervisory duties 20% or less of the time.

Conditions of Employment

Must be a U.S. citizen or national.

Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service or exempt.

Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.

Successful completion of a one-year probationary period, unless previously served.

Federal employees must receive payments via direct deposit.

Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, applicants must have the following:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.

Qualifying specialized experience includes:

Created programs related to partnership management and administrative support.

Served as liaison with federal, state agencies, small businesses, NGOs, tribal governments, media, academic institutions, and local community groups.

Planned, developed, and implemented partnership programs and served as technical advisor to resolve partnership issues, provide guidance, and write grant proposals.

Provided leadership and oversight for the management of natural resource projects and programs.

Time in Grade Requirement
For current federal employees seeking promotion, 52 weeks in service at the next lower grade level is required by the closing date.

Education
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience.
