Responsibilities
Plans, designs, and oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities. Prepares architectural, engineering, and cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and schedules. Obtains and supervises outside contractors. Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards. Supervises detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects. Conducts construction surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements. Provides engineering consulting services to local and divisional offices. Manages electrical, mechanical, and structural work/systems associated with utility infrastructure, building, and other industrial construction projects. Provides on-site resolution of engineering problems encountered during construction and during testing and operations. Works closely with multiple stakeholders, customers, maintenance, and operations personnel. Projects are reviewed for technical judgment, adequacy, and accuracy.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program (Construction Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related Construction degree may be used in lieu of an ABET degree).

0 years of relevant exempt experience.

Nice to Have

Construction Engineering and Management Degree or Civil Engineering Degree.

Internship or other work experience on construction sites is strongly preferred.
