The Accounting Analyst role I/II supports core accounting functions through financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement. Analysts partner with internal stakeholders, analyze and interpret financial data, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation. Responsibilities
Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation
Other duties as assigned
Performs moderately complex accounting activities under moderate supervision and guidance. Makes practical application of technical accounting practices. Develops solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity not requiring knowledge of past experiences or practices.
Education & Years of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus
Accounting Analyst I: Minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience in the energy industry or successful completion of an accounting internship
Accounting Analyst II: Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience in the energy industry
Preferred: CPA
G&P Revenue – Core Responsibilities
Execute monthly, quarterly, annual, and invoice close processes
Prepare journal entries and financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables
Understand and comply with SOX controls and financial governance requirements
Other Requirements
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to safety
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Effective cross‑functional communication and collaboration
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and financial acumen
