Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AP/AR Accountant to join our growing property management team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across a portfolio of manufactured housing communities. The ideal candidate will have strong transactional accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment processing.

Manage accounts receivable, including tenant billing, rent collections, and posting of receipts.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, including delinquency tracking and coordination with property management teams.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate records of all AP/AR transactions and supporting documentation.

Assist with monthly close processes, including preparation of AP/AR aging reports and related reconciliations.

Perform bank and cash reconciliations related to collections and disbursements.

Ensure proper coding of expenses and income in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.

Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate resident ledgers and billing adjustments.

Manage annual 1099 reporting process.

Support year-end audit requests related to AP/AR transactions.

Assist with implementation and improvement of AP/AR processes and internal controls.

Respond to vendor and resident inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Ad-hoc projects as requested.

Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.

Experience in real estate, property management, or manufactured housing preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.

Experience with high-volume transaction processing.

Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Customer service oriented with a “can do” attitude.

Working Conditions:

No travel.

2–3 days on-site per week; remaining days remote
