Overview
Job Title: Maintenance Technician. Location: Madison, WI. Position Type: Full-Time. Schedule: Includes On-Call Rotation.
Join the BMOC team at our student housing facilities. We are looking for a skilled technician to maintain a safe, clean, and high-quality living environment for our residents through proactive maintenance and rapid problem-solving.
Responsibilities
General Repairs: Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
Unit Turnovers: Prepare apartments for new residents (cleaning, painting, minor repairs).
Inspections: Conduct regular building and grounds checks for safety and maintenance needs.
Service Requests: Respond promptly to resident and management work orders.
Safety: Ensure full compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Records: Track all repairs and inspections via detailed maintenance logs.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Technical/Vocational training is a plus).
Experience: Previous maintenance experience, ideally in residential or student housing.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Ability: Able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
