Discipline Description

Software Engineers design, develop, and maintain software solutions by engaging in the complete development lifecycle. They collaborate with customers to capture requirements, aligning them with business goals and architectural guidelines. Using various programming languages, they craft secure and efficient code, often incorporating third‑party resources to extend functionality. These experts are committed to continual system improvement and adoption of new technologies to meet changing business demands. They also prioritize security, constantly updating systems to address emerging threats. Additionally, Software Engineers specify and evaluate vendor capabilities to provide applications or services, and configure, implement, and maintain software applications. They conduct a wide range of tests and analyses to ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards and end‑user requirements and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities

SRNS is seeking to hire an Experienced Smart 3D Administrator. This position supports the Operational Technology (OT) department, which provides essential process control, design software, and manufacturing systems to safely, securely, and effectively operate the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) facilities. This position will assist in installing, configuring and maintaining software solutions to support site operations.
Essential Qualifications

Intermediate to Advanced skills in installation, configuration and maintenance of Hexagon's Smart 3D.
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot minor software or technical issues.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Organized and capable of prioritizing work across multiple projects or priorities.
Comfortable navigating a Windows-based work environment and managing file structures.
Willingness to learn on the job and adapt quickly to unique project needs or requirements.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field plus at least five years of experience in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience, OR Doctoral degree in relevant field.
Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered.
Previous experience with Hexagon Smart 3D required.

Experience demonstrating ability to install, configure and maintain Hexagon's Smart 3D.
Familiarity with civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering concepts.
Knowledge or experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related workflows.

Security Clearance Information
