Staff Accountant

Our client is a retail company in Doral, FL and is looking to hire a Lease Accountant on a temporary basis. The Lease Accountant will report to the Controller and help support the day-to-day accounting and reporting operations.

Job duties
Recording and processing journal entries to ensure accurate recording of business transactions as they relate to the company's lease portfolio.
Updating accounts receivable, issuing invoices, and performing accounts payable reconciliations.
Aiding in the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheets and income statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
Reviewing assigned expenses for accuracy and compliance.
Continuously updating financial data in databases for immediate accuracy.
Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports.
Supporting senior accountants in the month- and year-end close processes.
Contributing to other ongoing accounting projects and duties.
