Job Description
Airbus Helicopters is seeking a long‑term intern to join the Finance department based in Columbus, MS.

You will support the control of all financial aspects for all departments in Airbus Helicopters, North America and assist the Business Controlling Team with financial processes.

Our Finance and Accounting team requires excellent analytical and communication skills to run the financial portfolio. We provide key analytics—from month‑end closing to performance management analysis—for partners.

Your Working Environment
Columbus, on the eastern border of Mississippi, hosts our helicopter manufacturing lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region.

Your Challenges

Control Financial Aspects of the Departments

– 50%

Collaborate with Business Controlling Team in the preparation of regular financial reports on performance and monitor work in progress.

Work with the Business Controllers to develop & maintain statistical data and analyses to understand business cost drivers.

Assist with providing and communicating relevant financial data to business leaders to support decision making.

Preparation of the Operating Plan, Forecasts, OPEX, Workload Capacity

– 40%

Support the business team in preparing yearly OPEX and follow‑on evolution on a regular basis, including collaborative meetings and reports.

Assist in the detailed preparation of the Operating Plan in coordination with business line management and the Business Controlling team.

Help prepare quarterly forecasts for the line of business to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Ad Hoc Requirements

– 10%

Participate as required in meetings and reviews and other duties as assigned.

Ensure appropriate data retention is maintained and accessibility is communicated.

Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial performance analysis as requested.

Other duties as assigned.

Boarding Pass / Eligibility

Currently located in the Columbus, MS area (long‑term onsite).

Enrolled toward a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or have equivalent experience.

Proficient in MS Office (2010/2016+), MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint or Google equivalents.

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

Onsite or remote: 100%

Vision – able to read computer screen and documents daily.

Hearing – able to hear in meetings and teleconferences.

Speaking – able to participate in conversations and meetings.

Equipment Operation – able to operate office equipment daily.

Carrying – able to carry documents up to 10 lbs daily.

Lifting – able to lift documents up to 10 lbs daily.

Pushing/Pulling – able to push or pull small office furniture occasionally.

Sitting – able to sit for long periods in meetings and on computer.

Squatting/Kneeling – rare.

Standing – able to stand during office discussions.

Travel – able to travel independently on short notice rarely.

Walking – able to walk through office and production areas daily.

PPE – Steel‑toed shoes required for shop floor visits; hearing/eye protection may also be required.
