Summary
Leads the daily activities of the inventory control staff. Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained.
Essential Functions
Monitor results by shift/work area and communicate inventory and quality metrics to Inventory Supervisor/Manager
Conduct analysis of inventory discrepancies and collaborate with operations to mitigate recurrence of issues
Monitor systematic replenishment and direct completion of replenishment activities
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop teammates on job functions/procedures to achieve objectives and productivity goals
Plan, monitor and manage actual performance against operational standards
Account for in‑stock merchandise conditions by audit, create exception reports and optimize inventory turns
Create and maintain a robust cycle count program
Analyze and report inventory discrepancies and slotting issues
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree in General Business required (can accept experience in lieu of a degree).
Experience:
Supervisory experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified; working knowledge of AS400; 5‑7 years required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and excellent problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good organization and business administration skills, attention to detail, willingness to improve, learn, and adapt.
Ability to supervise, control, manage, instruct, and lead others; computer skills, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
Time‑management skills to handle multiple functions and meet deadlines consistently.
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision; self‑motivated.
