Print Shop Supervisor – Facilities Management
Managing the daily print shop operations:
The Print Shop Supervisor is responsible for overall customer satisfaction, promoting cross-functional teamwork and collaboration, on-time delivery, maintaining efficient workflows and continuous improvement efforts. The Print Shop Supervisor demonstrates initiative, flexibility, has strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Print Shop Operations:
Coordinates, schedules, facilitates and monitors printing and production services; reviews online print requests; organizes and implements a production work schedule for processing requests; develops database and maintains job log for assigned projects; creates and implements an accountability system for each phase of the production schedule to ensure the timely completion and availability of projects, researches, and evaluates trends in commercial printing technology and processes; provides direction and support during schedule interruptions to accommodate emergency requests; operates printing production equipment; performs monthly safety inspections on equipment and record-keeping; inspects and verifies completed projects meet quality standards; monitors all printing systems to insure appropriate and safe procedures are followed as required by operation manuals; maintains inventory of paper, bindery supplies, toner, and other consumables; orders supplies and verifies accuracy of billing; performs other related duties commensurate with the requirements of the printing and production department.
Consultation/Client Services:
Provides consultation and assistance to clients during project development regarding the printing production process including how to coordinate and facilitate the project’s requirements in a timely manner, formulating and preparing print requests, and the impact of choosing the appropriate paper quality for the finished print job; recommends various printing recommendations; conducts cost analysis and timeline impacts for specified projects; acts as a technical resource to outside clients regarding appropriate printing and production methods to meet print needs within budgeted goals; coordinates competitive quotes and prices, printing and production requirements with outside vendors as necessary.
Description Overview of Duties:
Monitor jobs in production and communicate with graphics specialists regarding special jobs, proofs, and shipping information.
Contact clients with questions on specifications and/or questions of job submitted.
Keep an open communication to ensure all deadlines are met and cost budget is adhered to.
Perform printer maintenance as needed and assist clients with troubleshooting and placing service tickets.
Process all orders and fulfill them within our service level agreement:
Preparing print orders for production.
Ensure accurate production of all orders and proper invoicing.
Manage quality standards and procedure.
Monitor inventory of paper stock and order supplies and stock as necessary.
Establishes effective communication with leaders and executives across various departments.
Works closely with Leadership to promote relationships, products & services:
Ensuring that client needs are met with quality levels of service.
Participates in continuous improvements to current project procedures.
Contributes to strategic planning, direction, & goal setting for the department, working with management.
Manage all equipment and processes/procedures.
Learn new equipment and expand capabilities.
Print Shop Growth Strategy.
Coordinate Deliveries of paper and toner when available.

Fiery Command Workstation / Fiery Impose
Experience in operating Digital Print Production equipment
Experience in operating folding, binding, cutting machines
