Job Overview
Surface Experts of Savannah/Hilton Head is seeking a Sales/Business Development Representative to strengthen and build our customer base in Savannah, GA and the surrounding areas up to Hilton Head, SC and surrounding areas.
As a Surface Experts Sales Representative, your job is to find and build relationships with customers who work in property management and facilities maintenance. Our services are unique, so you will educate and build trust with our customers. We are looking for someone who lives out our core values of Serving Others, Being a Problem Solver, and Trusting the Process. Although prior sales experience is preferred, it is not required — we will train you.
You must be comfortable meeting new people, cold calling potential customers who haven’t heard of our services yet, re-visiting repeat customers to keep the relationship fresh, and truly believing that the services we offer are a help to our customers. You must demonstrate 100% confidence that we are providing something beneficial for them.
Compensation
Base salary of $52,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year, plus unlimited commission.
Responsibilities
You will educate our customers about how Surface Experts can help them.
You must enjoy working with people, both with our customers as well as with our team.
You will revisit our customers with quality control follow-ups to validate level of Customer satisfaction.
You will earn the trust of our customers.
You will be taught to memorize a sales script and train with role‑playing practice.
You will be taught to document sales activities in CRM from lead to work order and all steps in between.
You will report accurately and daily.
Required Qualifications
Goal‑oriented, self‑starter, and energetic.
Licensed to operate a passenger car and have a clean driving record.
Professional, caring, and service‑minded.
Possess a readiness to work with a metrics‑based, process‑driven sales team.
You need to be outgoing, people‑oriented, energetic personality.
You need to be a good communicator and can work well as part of a small, close team.
The owners' style is not to micro‑manage, but to train, teach, lead and encourage — you WILL be spending time on your own doing your sales routes but will be in constant communication with the rest of the team with any help or advice you may need.
You must be reliable to be where you are scheduled to be on time, communicate with the team, ask for help when needed, and prove we can trust and count on you.
Preferred Skills
Previous sales job helpful, but not required.
General working knowledge of multi‑family properties (apartment complexes) and/or construction industry helpful but not required.
Experience using CRM tool and process helpful but not required.
Experience working in base + commission environment helpful but not required.
What You’ll Be Doing
Visit apartment communities, hotels, and job sites throughout the day.
Meet with property managers, leasing teams, maintenance supervisors, and facilities staff.
Walk units and common areas to identify surface repair opportunities.
Introduce Surface Experts services and book repair work.
Manage your daily route and schedule independently.
Log activity, notes, and follow‑ups in our system.
Typical days include 10–15 on‑site visits.
