Responsibilities
Pedagogy, Instruction, and Assessment
Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments aligned with Saint Bridget School 6‑8 math curriculum and the Boston Archdiocesan standards.
Use differentiated instruction, varying techniques and strategies, to challenge and engage all learners.
Ensure the academic success, growth, and progress of all students.
Use and integrate technology into classroom instruction.
Provide extra help through meetings with students.
Inspire students with a growth mindset and the ability to persevere.
Teach children about God’s love and virtue.
Classroom Management
Create and maintain an organized, functional, and safe learning environment conducive to learning.
Uphold rules, routines and procedures to optimize learning.
Uphold student safety at all times in and inside the classroom, adhering to all Saint Bridget School rules and regulations.
Administrative / Extra‑Curricular
Communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with students, parents, and colleagues.
Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
Work collaboratively with all members of the SBS community.
Support and lead curricular and extracurricular activities and/or programs.
Attend all Faculty/Staff, PLC, and other meetings as directed by the Principal.
Pursue professional development training as directed by the Principal.
Perform duties as needed (recess, lunch, parking lot).
Physical Working Conditions
Navigate from building to building if need be with students’ safety in mind at all times.
Ability to learn to perform individual medical procedures when necessary.
Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Job Requirements
Proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons and instruction to enrich and differentiate instruction.
Prior successful experience in student teaching or classroom teaching.
Positive references and recommendations.
Active Massachusetts state teaching certification.
Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives.
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
