Looking for a temporary Administrative Assistant ASAP
About the Role
We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a busy HR department and Director for a growing non‑profit.
This role has a range of office, desktop publishing, and database management functions. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a positive impact in the communities we serve.
This role is fully on site and a long term consulting assignment.
What You'll Do
Handle general office functions including correspondence, supply ordering, bulk mailings, and meeting minutes
Greet and direct visitors and manage incoming calls
Coordinate program logistics such as scheduling, meeting space, and meal arrangements
Maintain and develop computer databases for program statistics
Prepare professional documents including newsletters, brochures, and reports
Organize and maintain office filing systems
Provide accurate information and referrals to clients and customers
What We're Looking For
High school diploma and at least 1 year of general office experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel; MS Access and Publisher a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Compassionate, patient, and culturally sensitive approach to working with diverse populations
Valid California driver's license (required if driving on company business)
Bilingual skills a plus
