VACANCY
The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Multi-Needs position for the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB SUMMARY
The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for meeting the needs of students with severe-to-profound academic learning difficulties. The classroom may include students with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, developmental delay, or traumatic brain injury.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must hold appropriate State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure withSpecial Education Endorsement
Satisfactory special education teaching experience
Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's)
Expertise in behavior management strategies
Knowledge of current teaching techniques
Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
Ability to work cooperatively with others
WORKING CONDITIONS
Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The District offers excellent fringe benefits such as health, dental and life insurance.
