School Administrative Coordinator, Alpha - $75,000/year USD
Crossover, Chicago, IL, United States
Overview
LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.
A well-functioning campus is invisible. A struggling one is felt by everyone. This position ensures Alpha campuses operate with safety, consistency, and assurance—day in, day out.
Alpha is constructing one of the world\'s most ambitious education systems. Our classrooms are fast-paced. Our expectations are rigorous. That demands campus operations that are disciplined, agile, and designed for scale. This role controls everything beyond the classroom walls that enables students and Guides to excel.
As the operational anchor of the campus, you will handle parent and staff correspondence, oversee security and safety protocols, maintain smooth facilities and logistics, and ensure reliable technology for students and staff. You intervene when systems fail, foresee problems before they grow, and bring structured calm to fluid environments.
This is not a limited coordinator position. It is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who excels with responsibility, diversity of tasks, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly influence student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine ownership and accountability.
Responsibilities
Serving as a key contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver timely, clear, and professional correspondence
Overseeing campus safety protocols including entry control, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
Managing day-to-day campus logistics including attendance systems, transportation arrangements, facility upkeep, and office functions
Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new personnel to guarantee operational preparedness from the start
Administering student devices and campus technology, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and technical point of contact
What You Won’t Be Doing
Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum design
Functioning in a strictly administrative or narrowly defined capacity
Working in a slow-paced or entirely predictable setting
Escalating unresolved issues to others rather than taking ownership of solutions
School Administrative Coordinator Key Responsibilities
Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree (field of study not specified)
At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
Comfort with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
Strong written and verbal communication skills across parents, staff, and vendors
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago, IL or Fort Worth, TX
