Overview
At Alpha, K‑2 students complete their academics through AI‑powered apps in two hours each day. You will facilitate one‑hour life‑skills workshops, coach students individually or in small groups, analyze data, and help them reach weekly targets.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for 10‑15 K‑2 students.
Conducting daily 1:1 and small‑group coaching sessions.
Administering the Test2Pass assessment for each life skill.
Meeting kindergarteners at their developmental level with songs, stories, movement, and humor while maintaining measurable expectations.
Being an engaging and motivating presence.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Delivering instruction from a whiteboard; academic content is delivered by the apps.
Developing curriculum from scratch; Alpha supplies the framework.
Passively supervising children on computers.
Adjusting weekly goals downward; support the student to reach targets.
Grading homework, running test prep, or managing parent communication.
Basic Requirements
Willing to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in one of the listed locations.
Bachelor's degree in any subject.
At least 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4‑8.
Concrete example describing motivating a child toward a challenging goal.
Able to attend a paid training program at the Austin, TX campus.
Willingness to allow AI to manage instructional content.
Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
Nice‑to‑Have Requirements
Experience in youth athletics coaching, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori/progressive early education, or after‑school programs.
Personal history of high achievement and holding others to demanding standards.
Natural performer able to hold a room of kindergarteners with voice, humor, and movement.
Demonstrated success turning shy or reluctant children into confident participants.
