Prototek is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth across the Southeast. The role is responsible for winning new business, expanding key accounts, and building long‑term customer relationships in precision manufacturing markets.
This is a role for a true hunter—someone who brings established industry relationships, understands how to navigate engineering‑driven organizations, and can convert opportunities into long‑term customers.
Key Responsibilities
Own and grow the Southeast territory through new and existing customer development
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
Build trusted relationships across engineering, sourcing, and leadership teams
Expand share of wallet within strategic accounts
Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts in Salesforce
Preferred Industry Experience
Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Electronics & Semiconductors, Energy & Industrial, Medical, or Dental
What You Bring
5–8 years of B2B technical or manufacturing sales experience
Proven track record of generating and closing new business
Established network and relationships within target industries
Strong hunter mentality with the ability to open doors and win work
Experience managing complex, relationship‑driven sales cycles
Willingness to travel 50%+
