
Maintenance Coordinator

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing facility and equipment maintenance activities. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure efficient operations, minimal downtime, and continuous improvement. The position also supports the development of maintenance personnel and effective utilization of CMMS systems.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to support safety, quality, and 5S standards
Develop and maintain forward‑looking maintenance plans for personnel, equipment, and spare parts
Plan and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
Maintain and utilize CMMS to track work orders, analyze data, and drive improvements
Coordinate maintenance activities across departments and shifts
Support budget tracking and preparation for maintenance‑related expenses
Assist with spare parts inventory management and procurement processes
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution
Verify contractor work completion against scope and expectations
Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide regular updates to leadership
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and cost reduction
Assist in improving equipment efficiency and technical capabilities of the team
Plan and facilitate training and development programs for maintenance personnel
Coordinate overtime scheduling for critical repairs and maintenance activities
Provide hands‑on support for maintenance tasks and projects as required
Participate in meetings and support presentations on maintenance initiatives
Identify opportunities to reduce outsourcing by strengthening internal capabilities
Ensure adherence to company policies and foster a positive team environment
Key Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in maintenance or maintenance coordination (manufacturing environment preferred)
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data‑driven decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, processes, and priorities simultaneously
Experience in training, mentoring, or supporting maintenance teams
Basic understanding of ISO systems and standards
Proficiency in CMMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools
Demonstrated leadership mindset with accountability and team‑oriented approach
Flexibility to support after‑hours, weekend work, and emergency situations
