Overview
Now Hiring: Technical Supervisor – Toxicology Laboratory (LC-MS/MS - AU480). We are seeking an experienced
Technical Supervisor
to lead operations in a high-complexity toxicology laboratory. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep LC-MS/MS expertise and a strong background in regulatory compliance, quality systems, and team development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
6–10 years of experience in high-complexity laboratory testing
Minimum 6–8 years of laboratory experience, including
4+ years in a supervisory role
Qualified as a
Technical Supervisor
under CLIA and applicable accreditation agencies
4+ years of LC-MS/MS - AU480 experience , including:
Sample preparation and extraction
Instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Method development and validation
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of toxicology testing workflows (LC-MS/MS and immunoassay platforms)
Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel
Ensure compliance with
CLIA, CAP, COLA , and other regulatory standards
Manage quality systems, including QC/QA programs and documentation
Prepare and maintain calibrators, controls, and standards
Perform and review data analysis for toxicology testing across multiple specimen types
Develop and implement SOPs, policies, and procedures
Troubleshoot technical issues across instrumentation and workflows
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and supply management
Required Skills
Hands-on experience with
Sciex LC-MS/MS instruments and software
Strong understanding of toxicology workflows and specimen handling
Proven leadership and organizational abilities
Expertise in quality management systems and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety
Compensation
Starting salary:
$85,000- $125,000
Depending on Experience.
